Dr Ana Lucia dos Santos Barbosa
Dr Ana Lucia dos Santos Barbosa studied Chemical Engineering at the Universidade
Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro at the undergraduate level. She obtained
her MSc in Chemical Engineering in 1988 at the Escola Politécnica da
Universidade de São Paulo. Her PhD in Chemical Engineering was awarded
by the Institute National Polytechnique de Toulouse – France in 1994. Dr.
Barbosa is a Senior Lecturer and joined UFRRJ as a lecturer in 1980. She
undertakes research on unit operations involving solid particles: drying of
particulate solids, fluidization. She teaches Unit Operations and Quality
Management at the undergraduate level. At the graduate level she is teaching
Transport Phenomena and Unit Operations. She is also developing some work
as a consultant on Quality Management.
