Dr Gerson Luiz Vieira Coelho
Dr. Gerson Luiz Vieira Coelho studied Chemical Engineering at the Universidade
Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro at the undergraduate level. He obtained his
MSc in Chemical Engineering in 1982 at the Faculdade de Engenharia de Campinas
da UNICAMP. He earned the Dr.-Ing. degree from the University of Clausthal
- Germany in 1990. He spent one year (1999/2000) undertaking some postdoctoral
research at the University of Waterloo. Dr.Coelho is titular professor and
joined UFRRJ as a lecturer in 1977. He undertakes research on supercritical
fluid extraction and high-pressure vapor-liquid equilibria and teaching in
food, chemical and engineering thermodynamics.
